Megan Scott

Megan’s first novel, The Temptation of Magic, published by HarperCollins, is the first in the Empyreal trilogy and is filled with mythology, the supernatural, and romance. The debut was a Fairyloot YA May book pick, a Dymocks book of the month in Australia, and the Canadian Bookstore Indigo named it as one of their best books of 2024. It has had three special editions, and a post gushing about the book on BookTok has had over 1.2 million views.

Megan’s interest in myth is heavily inspired by her degree in Art History and Classical Civilisation at St. Andrews University, and writing her distinction-awarded Masters of Research dissertation on depictions of myth in nineteenth century art. When she’s not writing, she’s trying to read as much as her nana, paint Old Masters paintings, and learn as much as she can about her family’s Irish history.
